Beauty Pageants are a way girls can learn important life skills while also having fun. It’s a way to learn the difference between winning and losing and also gaining friendships. Beauty Pageants are encouraging as competitions, that bring out the best in young women. Women empowerment does not come in one form, it comes in many forms. One thing can be considered to be empowerment for one woman but the other might not see how it can be considered as empowerment.
Women who take part in pageants have utilized the platform, and their own platforms, to empower other women, others have also used pageants as a way to advance their careers. Barnana Dutta, hailing from the abode of clouds Meghalaya, Shillong.

Working with mission dreams truly felt like a dream come true. The dedication to the vision was simply unparalleled. At no stage did I ever feel anything less than at home even during the heat of the competitions. The organizers truly have my heart. I can’t wait to be a bigger part of this wonderful family and reach greater heights and breach the boundaries of states and nations with a unites front. The Mission Dreams Miss India platform is like the fruition and beginning of everything that I have been working for all my life. I want to create a platform that I can independently use to complete missions. These missions are based on humanitarian works, animal shelter, orphanages and as many philanthropic ventures engage with. I want to create exposure for the people who stand with me and are determined to win the battles we take on together using social media platforms. It is a simple fact that social media platforms are not just platforms to connect with friends. The digital revolution is real and we are all more connected now with the world than anyone in the preceding generations. The world is starting to seem smaller and more united than ever. Using this revolution as an advantage, we can build lives and futures bringing hope to where non exists and bringing love to those in need.”
