Chandan Sahani, who has recently participated in the Mission Dreams National Pageant is all set to mark his debut in the Fashion Industry. Chandan, given his introduction is a young 21-year old boy who has responsibility of his mother and younger brother on his head. Given his father who passed away at a young age, Sahani had to leave his studies to nurture his family. Hailing originally from Bihar but currently residing in Surat, Gujarat, Chandan has held his dreams high with a vision to earn money and respect.
He works 14 hours a day and earns to support his family. Even his younger brother following his footsteps left his studies behind to support his elder brother. Sahani says, “I never actually knew what struggle is, I never came to know how much hard work it takes to earn a single penny. My parents never let us know about the hardships they had to face in giving me and my brother a good life and education. I am grateful to them and my ever supporting Mom who stood by us and stays awake late at night just to have a peaceful dinner with me and my brother. I want to give her a good life, a life she deserves to live, a life she would have lived if she didn’t make sacrifices for us”.
Chandan is participating in Mission dreams to find his personality, his own strength and weaknesses as a person, gain confidence and raise his self-esteem. He wants to try his chance in the pageant to gain new perspective towards life, meet new people from different walks of life and learn.
