The Indian Woman in her lifetime plays many crucial roles that make her indispensable. A woman’s role as a mother goes beyond bearing and rearing children. She, being a wife is a husband’s confidante, a protector from the evil eye, someone who he could count on to share his trials and tribulations and help him get over the hurdles.
In a recent conversation with Rubina Ahmed, she came up with telling about her journey till Mission Dreams. Let’s read ahead to find out.
She says, “If you want to shine like a sun, first burn like a sun.” These words of our former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam have really resonated with me. Being the wife of an Army Officer, I personally feel that in the last 23 years of our marriage, Me and my husband have sacrificed a lot for each other and our family. While my husband was at the border fighting for our country, I took full responsibility of our household and the well-being of my daughter, who was just 4 months old at the time. Being a 25-year-old myself, taking care of my daughter while also being under tremendous stress due to my husbands’ continuous engagement in counter-insurgency operations, fighting militants to safeguard our country, really took a toll on me. Though this was one of the toughest phases of my life, I stayed determined and didn’t let my emotions get the best of me. I feel that the last 23 years of my married life, I can definitely say that this was the phase where I “burned like the sun” and now I rightfully feel that I deserve my shining moment which is why I applied for this wonderful pageant and I’m confident enough that God will suitably reward me by fulfilling my dreams of becoming Mrs. India 2021 through Mission Dreams.”
She concluded by saying that, “Over the course of the past few years, I have gained a lot of experience pertaining to modelling and acting. I have participated in many fashion shows and have also done loads of print-shoots for many clothing brands like Kathiawaad. I have also acted for the famous pharmaceutical brand, Emcure under Bohra Productions delivering a wonderful message about Women Empowerment. Being a fitness freak, I also got an opportunity to undergo courses regarding Aerobics and Yoga because I strongly believe that taking care of one’s physical health is really important for our wellbeing and mental wellness. In order to relax my mind and to find inner peace, I was also fortunate enough to undergo an integrated course of Reiki and am now a Reiki Grandmaster. Healing people on humanitarian grounds gives me immense happiness and I’m proud that my Holistic Healing has helped countless people, ranging from the ones who just wanted mental peace to people who were suffering from illnesses so serious that they ended up in ICUs. I also healed special children from the AASHA School and take online sessions regularly.”
