Anushka Sharma donned a Blush Pink Floral Embroidery Lehenga from the house of Sabyasachi Mukherjee for her intimate wedding in Tuscany, Italy. 67 karigars curated her pastel-hued outfit in 32 days. Anushka Sharma’s bridal wear was hand-embroidered in silk floss with bore motifs of exotic birds and butterflies. Her look was rounded off with a mathapatti, layered necklaces, jhumkas in pearls, jadau, and pink spinel.

2. BIPASHA BASU

Bipasha, dressed in a red traditional Sabyasachi lehenga looked absolutely ravishing on her wedding day. When it came to picking her wedding outfits, the bride decidedly returned to her roots and picked a Kolkata-based couturier to design her bridal fineries. Sabyasachi Mukherjee who has been a close friend of Bipasha for years, designed not one, but two of her outfits: her main wedding look, and another lehenga for the reception and after party.  The latter wore an ivory and gold number that fused centuries-old craftsmanship techniques with a contemporary cut.

Neha Kakkar tied the knot with Rohanpreet Singh in two wedding ceremonies in New Delhi maintaining the mandates of a small gathering. She wore a Pale Pink Classic Lehenga. Given the setting of the daytime ceremony, Neha Kakkar picked a pastel lehenga by Sabyasachi. Kakkar’s pick featured multicoloured threadwork in coral, fuchsia and baby pink, and zardozi floral motifs.

Sabyasachi Mukherjee was the man behind Priyanka Chopra’s red wedding lehenga which was curate in a total of 3720 hours. She wore a Sindoori Red Lehenga. The custom-made piece had hand-cut organza flowers, French knots in silk floss, and layers of thread work. The lehenga came with a half-sleeved blouse and a ballgown esque skirt. Priyanka Chopra’s bridal look was completed with Mughal inspired jewellery – a necklace encrusted with 84.5 carats of pear-shaped diamonds, maang tika, haath phool, traditional red chooda, customised kalire.

Deepika Padukone’s wore a Traditional Red Gold Tilla Lehenga. Her lehenga had hand-embroidered gold tilla details, chowki design aari-taari dupatta and a heavy border which read ‘‘Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava’. Her bridal look was completed with gold and uncut diamond jewellery, maang tikka, jadau jhumkas, nath, traditional bridal chuda and golden kalire. This one was her look for her Sindhi wedding.
