Beauty Pageants are a way girls can learn important life skills while also having fun. It’s a way to learn the difference between winning and losing and also gaining friendships. Beauty Pageants are encouraging as competitions, that bring out the best in young women. Women empowerment does not come in one form, it comes in many forms. One thing can be considered to be empowerment for one woman but the other might not see how it can be considered as empowerment.
Joanna Jewel M participated in the Mission Dreams beauty pageant and bagged the title of “Miss Talented 2022-23”, she hails from the Wayanad District in God’s own country Kerala. She is a 10th grade student and has big dreams, she thanks Mission Dreams for giving such an opportunity.
She says, “My strengths are I like to learn new things, I am self-motivated, dedicated, and punctual. I always work with a team and have leadership skills. My weaknesses are over confident and overexcited.
Everyone has his or her goals in the lifetime. So do I personally, I plan goals ahead so I would get the expectation of what I am living for at the present and in the future. First, I have to look further at my career. It is my dream to be an Doctor. The duty of doctors during the Covid pandemic has encouraged me to choose this profession.
I consider myself as very independent, photogenic and disciplined. So modelling & acting is my passion.
Who inspired you and why ?
My parents are my role model in my life. They are the only ones in the whole world who have always supported and motivate me to achieve my goals. They have taught me that hard times can be overcome and that losing battles can be won. They have taught me more than I could have learnt from any book. They set an inspirational example to me teaching me how to live life and make wise choices, even in the most uncertain situations. I respect and love them a lot.
I believe that Mission Dreams Miss India platform gave me additional skills that I can use in my life growing up and this is a gateway to success and glory. I want to do something unique and big through that .
Mission Dreams Miss Talented 2022-23 sub -title is the greatest achievement in my life. This crown is not only a pageant sub-title but a great responsibility. I will make sure that I fulfil the goodwill of Mission Dreams just as successfully as any mother tries to install in birth qualities in her child.
