Beauty Pageants are a way girls can learn important life skills while also having fun. It’s a way to learn the difference between winning and losing and also gaining friendships. Beauty Pageants are encouraging as competitions, that bring out the best in young women. Women empowerment does not come in one form, it comes in many forms. One thing can be considered to be empowerment for one woman but the other might not see how it can be considered as empowerment.
Women who take part in pageants have utilized the platform, and their own platforms, to empower other women, others have also used pageants as a way to advance their careers. Santoshini, the winner of Mission Dreams Miss India 2022, a 20yr old girl with eyes filled with dreams from the temple City of our country Bhubaneswar, Odisha. She is currently pursuing her first professional course in Bachelor’s Of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS).
Santoshini who was crowned as the winner of the Mission Dreams Miss India Category says, “It feels like a dream. The feeling hasn’t sunk in yet. I made my dream turn into reality. I am grateful that all the hard work put in finally bore fruits. I am extremely happy that I made my family my state proud. I have received immense blessings, love and support from Mission dreams organization. It fills up my heart. This platform is where my dreams became my goal, it really strengthened me and I believed It would be my stepping stone turning to a mild stone. I’ll make sure I make all of u proud and be forever grateful to this platform. I would further like to extend Special thanks to Priya mam and the entire team for giving such a platform with purpose”.
