PRATIKSHA UGALE, a 19-year-old girl from Mumbai recently participated in the beauty pageant organized by Mission Dreams Miss India 2021, representing the state of Maharashtra. Pratiksha on asking after she got selected said, “Since childhood my dream was to become Miss India, but not getting any clue in modelling, I decided to participate in Mission Dreams Miss India contest that is going to be held in Mumbai. I was not much aware about the work culture of that glamorous fashion world , But when I participated I got to know some lovely beautiful women who inspired young girls like me and showed us a path to freedom and own stability. They had their amazing stories, the hardships that they had to face while coming for the pageantry and how they conquered them with dignity. I’ll have my grooming sessions too wherein I hope I’ll learn how to present myself in front of the large audience and overcome my stage fear too. This participation has made me bold and strong mentally, so strong that I can take my own stand and never feel laid back. The people whom I am gonna meet during the pageantry, I look forward to making new connections with them. As it is said meeting new people is like being in an all new world altogether. The beauty pageants winner who I have seen on the Television are confident, patient and beautiful women. They walked with grace & dignity. I really want to be like one of them and want to fight my own battles.”
She thanks the mentors who supported and motivated her with their humble words and showed the true purpose of beauty pageant. She was truly amazed by it and received lots of encouragement. When she participated in mission dreams she got to know about the inner beauty, beauty with brain and beauty with purpose.
She further added, “I am sure I’ll have a great experience with Mission Dreams by expressing my self-worth and further would like to motivate the aspiring women’s of my country to build their confidence. Pratiksha thanks the team to make her understand that beauty pageantry is not only about having a beautiful face and body, but in fact she learnt that Beauty is something that comes from within, a pure soul, a good heart and a sharp mind. A mind that is ready to take challenges and is strong enough to help build up the society.
Talking about Pratiksha, She is a free soul, who loves to explore and gain new knowledge by facing different situations in life. She is a music and dance lover and likes to remain surrounded by the nature. “I feel grateful to my parents who supported me through my difficult times & never stopped believing in me. My mother has been my support system from the very beginning & my dad who showed me this beautiful world and taught me how to survive in this big world. She is currently pursuing bachelor’s in Information Technology from Mumbai.” she added.
