Grisha Shetty hails from the major port City of India Mangalore. Representing her state Karnataka during the beauty pageant under Miss India 2021 category. Mission Dreams believes To be a beauty pageant winner is to carry a burning torch. It is like action carried out by one to illuminate the lives of many. And one should dedicate their whole self, their love for the arts, and their voice to trying to uplift, empower, and educate people. And it should be their greatest honor and duty to hold this torch high enough so that all the world could feel and see its light.”
Grisha says, “I Have gratefully turned 19 this year. I Am really indebted to make it to the finals and looking to make my time count. I Am currently pursuing Mass Media from Birla college and passionate about dance and sports but at the same time also looking to make a difference in society by working with some NGO’S and engaging In social welfare activities. I believe in not only having competitiveness but ability, regardless of the circumference you face, to never quit. My story has been of being patient and self-belief, leaders are born out of ordinary people like you and me I want girls out there to look at me and think out of impossible dream and take that first step forward because every thing happens twice first in our mind and then in reality.
She further added, “Women empowerment does not come in one form, it comes in many forms. One thing can be considered to be empowerment for one woman but the other might not see how it can be considered as empowerment. I think a pageant like Miss India gives us young women a platform to foray in the fields that we want, be it entrepreneurship, be it the armed forces, be it politics. It gives us a platform to voice our opinions and choices, and makes us strong and independent, that we are today.”
