Silky Jain has taken part in the Mission Dreams Beauty Pageant for the upcoming contest in November. She is among the other few candidates who wants to break the stereotype and take part in something that is out of her court. She wants to pursue modelling as her passion. Silky hailing from the state of land filled with blankets of tea plantations and wild woods i.e. Assam, from the city of Silchar, is doing her graduation in bachelor of commerce, pursuing last year of her course from the college Lalit Jain Commerce College.
She says, “As a B.com student, I am very much passionate about modelling. Modelling is the platform where I can represent myself. I always dream of participating in beauty pageant. As I come from the middle class family, I have to face many problems, like any other Indian family becoming Doctor, Engineer, CA, Banker is the ultimate goal for any child in the eye of his/her parents. Jobs like beautician, hair stylist, makeup artist, model etc. has no relevance. But I never stop. I believe that the only thing that will stop you from fulfilling your dreams is you. So this makes me unstoppable. Apart from modelling, my hobby is dancing. I love to dance, sometimes it’s my mood changer. I have achieved many prizes in dancing from local dance competition.
“Mission Dreams has given me the opportunity to represent myself and my state. I wanted to participate in this beauty pageant so that I can be more confident and ready to face any challenges in life as modelling is not an easy profession. I wanted to be an example of those girls who are belongs from the middle class family or poor family and are willing to make careers in the modelling. I want to change the mindset of those Indian family who thinks that modelling has no relevance and has no better career. At last, if you believe in yourself and have dedication and pride and never quit, you’ll be a winner.”, she added.
