Taking part in beauty competition calls for courage, and this means stepping out of one’s comfort zone. Contestants get exposed and get to dig deep and search for their potential, discovering who they are and what they are capable of in the process. People mostly focus on the beauty part, but it goes beyond that. Beauty queens represent a whole lot of things but most importantly look out for the good of society. Mission Dreams believes that beauty pageants help women reach out to a much broader audience and also develop their self-esteem.
Ananya Aggarwal, a new talent who has just entered the Mission Dreams Beauty Contest is all words in speaking about herself and her journey till here. Lets Read.
- Tell us about your passion, your achievements and your aim?
ANSWER: My passion and ability to put my heart and soul into whatever I do is something that sets me apart from others. Being a model and actor is much more than a mere passion, it is an opportunity to accomplish my dreams to an unimaginable extent. The glitz and glamour of this field has always kept the flame of achieving greatness, alive within me.
As far as my achievements are concerned, I’m currently the Vice President of my college’s Fashion society that proves my ability to lead and adapt to the constantly changing times. My aim is more focused towards being someone who is not afraid to take risks and break out from the shackles that limit women in this patriarchal society. From this day, I see myself only going forward in this field and aspire to be the best in whatever the future may hold.
2. Why do you want to be an Actor?
ANSWER: Being an Actor has much more meaning than just simply acting and facing the camera. It gives us an opportunity to stand out and to provide inspiration to the youth to do something great. I am confident in my ability to give it my all and to manage everything efficiently, if given a chance. I’m very adaptable, dedicated and have an undying passion to learn constantly, which I feel are the evident qualities of a good actor.
3. When did you realize that you want to be an actor?
ANSWER: Ever since I was a little girl, I have always been awed by movies and how skillfully the people on the screen are able to portray their roles. Being young and naive, I thought being an actor only had one role, that was, looking good. But as maturity dawned upon me, I was confronted with the fact, that an actor has to live in the particular character assigned and make the audience relate to it. After such realization, I felt myself being more drawn to this industry and hence developed a special attraction and liking to it.
4. Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
ANSWER: There’s no denying the fact that I want to see myself happy, content and successful, possibly making a debut in a movie or getting a big break. I vision myself working hard with utmost dedication for my job and possibly getting known for my talents and works.
5. What are those 5 interesting facts about you that people should know?
ANSWER:
- Besides a liking for acting, only a few people are known to the fact that I can dance as well.
- As a fact I can also sing a little. Not as good as our great singers out there, but very modestly put, I have a decent voice.
- Moreover, I am the Vice President of the Fashion Society of my college, owing to my increased interest in the fashion and glamour industry.
- Apart from my involvement in the former, I tend to prove myself in the academic arena, scoring a 95% in Class XII Boards Examination and am inclined towards gaining maximum knowledge.
- I also possess a fair knowledge and practice of makeup and skin care, possessing a sensitive skin myself.
Mission Dreams believes that the lives of the girls who take part receive a huge transformation, contestants acquire public speaking skills. The other thing is that this platform helps these young girls take on responsibility at an early age; they come up with projects that build our society.
