“A woman’s role as a mother goes beyond bearing and rearing children”, Ritu Mehta, Mission Dreams Finalist

The Indian Woman in her lifetime plays many crucial roles that make her indispensable. A woman’s role as a mother goes beyond bearing and rearing children. She, being a wife is a husband’s confidante, a protector from the evil eye, someone who he could count on to share his trials and tribulations and help him get over the hurdles.

Mrs Ritu Mehta is a 32 year old woman who derives from Patna, Bihar. She is currently residing in Kolkata. Ritu got married off at a very young age of sixteen. With time, she became the mother of three children.

Ritu says, “My first pregnancy gifted me a daughter and my second pregnancy blessed me with my twin daughters. But I never bounded myself ‘only’ with these responsibilities. With the support of my husband and in-laws, I completed my journey of education from Matriculation to B. Ed. and a Diploma in computers. I’ve worked as an assistant teacher in a highly reputed school. I never gave up on myself as an individual and wanted to make an identity for me. I’ve been happily married for 18 years and now mission dreams has given me the opportunity to step into a new world.

Usually, after marriage and kids every woman limits her thoughts and her own self to her family and household, but life here has given us a chance to believe that we can do anytime and everything despite being married or having babies.
Every woman holds a want to do something, the thing is that she should be given a chance.
Mission dreams beauty pageant has provided me and women like me a wonderful platform to showcase the world what we hold for which I dearly thank them.

Mission Dreams is a Pageant that will provide Married Women with a Platform where they would get an Opportunity to Make a Difference to the World.
