Actress Taapsee Pannu has launched her own production house called Outsiders Films, whose first project will be a thriller that she will feature in. Pannu has collaborated with a content creator and producer Pranjal Khandhdiya who has worked on films such as Super 30, ‘83, Soorma, Piku, and is also producing Pannu’s upcoming title Rashmi Rocket. With this, Pannu joins the list of young Bollywood actors producing their own films including Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone, besides older stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Salman Khan.
Taapsee was last seen in Haseen Dillruba. The film was hailed by critics and the audience alike. Now, Taapsee is taking a step forward in her career by taking up production. Announcing her production house, she wrote, “Last year when it was almost a decade since I plunged into the dream this Indian Film Industry is, I never knew I will not just float but actually learn to swim my way through. For someone who never dreamt of being a public figure, I am forever grateful to everyone who has bestowed so much love and trust in me and my work (sic). She added, “Time for some payback, because with great power comes greater responsibility. So wish me luck and I promise to try my best to bring the best, coz the view is the best from the “outside” Writing a new chapter of life, now as a producer with the “Outsider Films” #OutsidersFilms #NewChapter (sic).”
Taapsee’s last film, Haseen Dillruba, made much noise. The film also starred Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane in lead roles. Recently, the actress shared a behind-the-scenes clip from the sets of Haseen Dillruba. The video showed how Taapsee and Vikrant had a blast on the sets of the film. Sharing the video, she wrote, “Overheard On The Sets Of Haseen Dillruba: Jitna mazza aapko film dekhne mein aaya, utna hi mazza humein film banane mai bhi aaya!
