Kolkata’s Atreyee Paul Shines at Mission Dreams Historic Mrs India 2021

Atreyee Paul from Kolkata was crowned Mission Dreams Historic Mrs India 2021 & also won the subtitle of Mission Dreams Historic Timeless beauty Mrs. India 2021. The first of its kind online national pageant held for married women. The event was conducted by Mission Dreams Mrs. India 2020 Virtual Pageant for the women.

Forty-three-year-old Atreyee Paul was Expressing happiness over winning the title, she said: “I am married since 14 years and an entrepreneur by profession, since my childhood it was my dream to a become part of this glamour world. Coming from a middle class family glamour world was not appropriate career option. So, I even had to leave my dreams behind and persuade my academic career. But somewhere deep in my heart my passion for glamour world was always there. My husband encouraged me to pursue my dreams. He always supported & pushed me hard towards my dreams so that I can live my life according to it. I am feeling great and proud after winning the subtitle. This winning gave me wings and now I am more free”.

It was a wonderful experience being part of the event. I learnt a lot of things on the journey of 7days. Now, I have friends all over India. The team Mission Dreams groomed us very well to perfection and the virtual pageant was a great success. We had to do different videos on different tasks which made me more creative and confident. My aim is to participate in the event and win the contests,” she added.

Hailing from a traditional family it was not a cakewalk for Atreyee to fulfil her dreams in the fashion industry. She was also not encouraged to participate in pageants. However, her strong determination and husband’s support motivated her to achieve crown in the fashion industry.

“I had a passion for the fashion field since my childhood. I always loved to dress-up and appear good. I worked hard for the past 3 years to keep myself fit and healthy. Though it was very challenging, I achieved it by regular exercise, practicing Yoga, and a strict diet.”
 
Most of the married women are very talented but due to various circumstances, they hesitate to explore. Age, marriage, societal pressure, and lack of support make them step back. Women should believe in themselves and find a way to fulfil their dreams without expecting support from anyone, she added.

“Mission Dreams India pageants works towards empowering women, creating awareness. I also wish to engage in similar programmes and educate women,” added Atreyee, whose hobbies are dancing and modelling; a fitness freak and a fashionista.  

Her son,11-year-old is studying in 7th standard and her husband Souvik Paul is a B.tech MBA and works for an MNC at top management.
