Virtual events are growing in popularity, especially as the world continues to deal with the novel corona-virus. Fortunately, modern technology has made it possible for companies to host online events that rival in-person versions, leading to many benefits for both event planners and attendees alike. In this continuation Kolkata-based company Mission Dreams India organized a virtual fashion runway show.
20-year-old Julifar Y. Laskar , student of Bachelor of Arts, was Expressing happiness over winning the title, she said: For the first time I had participated in @Mission dreams Miss India 2021(Historic virtual pageant), with the love , support and help of my family and friends and where I have won the subtitle ‘Mission Dreams Miss Appealing 2021’. I always wanted to represent my self as an inspiration for those who believe in their dreams. And I believe mission dreams is that platform where I started this journey.
And I am very thankful to Mission Dreams for providing a great platform for us to explore ourselves and I value the insights and guidance you provide. It’s my honour to be a part of mission dreams.
Hailing from a small town Silchar, Assam and as a fresher it was not a cakewalk for Julifar to fulfil her dreams in the fashion industry. She was also not encouraged to participate in pageants. However, her strong determination and family’s support motivated her to achieve crown in the contest. My parents have been the single most important and greatest support to my art. They have never discouraged my pursuit of the arts — in fact, they funded and bolstered it more times than I can ever thank them for. But also, they ask me the right questions. Somehow, they made me simultaneously a big dreamer and a practical thinker. And What so ever I am today I seriously believe that all the very credits goes to my family because without them it wasn’t easy for me to create such an environment to participate in this platform and it was them, who help me throughout the pageant, whether it was helping with hair and makeup, finding, creating and altering gowns, or preparing for finale, she added.
On being asked upon, an advice to aspiring young girls that like to do things in out-of-the-box ways? Juifar replied: My personal pieces of advice are to surround yourself with what you need to feel supported. Find your fellow artists, find mentors, find sponsors, find quotes that fuel your fire, and find spaces where you can do your thing. You will, no doubt, encounter doubts and challenges and want to quit. Set yourself up to pull through those times. Because your dream MATTERS and your passion is NEEDED in this world.
